Lifeline Renews SOC2 Certification

We are pleased to announce that we have recently renewed our SOC 2 Certification. Developed by the American Institute of CPAs (AICPA), SOC 2 defines criteria for managing customer data based on five “trust service principles” — security, availability, processing integrity, confidentiality and privacy.

Lifeline is one of the first companies in the region to become a SOC 2 compliant MSP. We were pleased to be one of the first companies in the area to receive this certification, and now to be officially recertified. At Lifeline, we have always done our best to serve our clients and protect their sensitive data, and this certification renewal proves this dedication. We believe that any IT support company should be striving towards the highest level of security controls possible, and we hope to see other businesses do the same.

SOC 2 stands for Systems and Organization Controls 2 and is a security framework that specifies how organizations should protect customer data from unauthorized access, security incidents, and other vulnerabilities. Unlike other compliance frameworks, which have a predefined set of conditions for all companies, SOC 2 requirements are different for every organization.

To be SOC 2 compliant means that the certified MSP provides airtight internal security controls. It lays a foundation of security policies and processes that helps Lifeline scale securely. A SOC 2 report is the gold standard for providing the assurance that client data is protected.
