We are pleased to announce that we have recently renewed our SOC 2 Type 2 Certification again. This is our third year receiving this prestigious certificate. Developed by the American Institute of CPAs (AICPA), SOC 2 Type 2 defines criteria for managing customer data based on five “trust service principles” — security, availability, processing integrity, confidentiality and privacy.
Lifeline is the first, and potentially the only, company in the region to become an SOC 2 Type 2 compliant MSP. To our knowledge, we remain the only company in the area to receive this certification and have now renewed for a second time. At Lifeline, we have always done our best to serve our clients and protect their sensitive data, and this certification renewal proves this dedication. We believe that any IT support company should strive towards the highest level of security controls possible, and we hope to see other businesses do the same.
The Systems and Organization Controls 2 (SOC 2) Type 2 is a security framework that specifies how organizations should protect customer data from unauthorized access, security incidents, and other vulnerabilities.
To be SOC 2 Type 2 compliant means that the certified MSP provides airtight internal security controls. It lays a foundation of security policies and processes that help Lifeline scale securely. A SOC 2 Type 2 report is the gold standard for providing the assurance that client data is protected.
